Cardigans are Not for Everyone!
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a wonderful breed, and obviously I am devoted to them. But, they are not for every person- and they are not for every household. Please take time to do a lot of research; talk to several breeders; before committing to add a Cardi to your family!
What Cardigans Are:
- Absolutely loving, devoted, clownish, intelligent dogs
- Vocal, active, busy and at times intense
- Seasonal shedders-- YES-- they do shed-- A LOT
What Cardigans Are Not:
-
Kennel Dogs- they must be part of the family- in your home!
-
Children in Fur Coats- Dogs are dogs- they need to be treated like dogs- if you want a child in a fur coat- get a poodle!
-
Toys- Cardigans are big dogs in a small package- they can be too much dog for some families; despite their size! Although normally good with children, I prefer to place adults in homes with very young children- so that the dog can train the children how to behave around dogs!
-
Dumb/Lazy- Cardigans are VERY intelligent! It is important that this herding dog has a JOB- or he is likely to make one up for himself! You may not like what he thinks is his job! Obedience training is essential for the companion Cardigan- and a LOT of fun for both of you!

Our Requirements
- Companion Puppies are sold on a mandatory spay/neuter contract AND Limited Registration
- All puppies must be indoor, house dogs. No Kennel dogs
- All puppies must complete a Puppy Kindergarten course or Basic Obedience course
- All puppies must have a fenced yard or a proven committment to adequate, on lead, exercise
- I maintain the right of first refusal on all of my puppies for their entire life. If for any reason, you cannot keep a puppy that I have bred, it is to come home to me!
I consider all of my puppies as an extension of my family. Be prepared for regular emails and phone calls, and requests for pictures, should you be approved to take one of my fur kids into your home.
My puppy families are the best- simply because the dogs don't deserve any less!
