Cardigans with Personality...PLUS!!!

Xtacee Cardigans is NOT a breeding kennel!  It has never been my desire or my purpose to produce a number of top-winning show dogs- or a multitude of pets!  What started out as a hobby in the early 1980's, has evolved into my committment to produce the healthiest, happiest Cardigans that I can- first and foremost!  Temperament is paramount here; my belief is that without a sound, solid temperament even the most beautiful "show" dog is not a credit to the breed, or a joy to own.  I am very careful in my choices for breeding, and therefor all dogs are screened for any possible health concerns.

Showing dogs is a wonderful hobby- but all too often the hobby becomes an obsession and it is the dogs that suffer.  Many breeders end up with too many dogs, too many litters, and not nearly enough time!  For that reason, I prefer to keep one show prospect for myself, and place the majority of my puppies in companion or performance homes on limited registrations and mandatory spay/neuter contracts; where they can be the apple of some familys eyes!  It is important to me that I do not have any more dogs in my home than I can personally care for and spend quality time with; usually no more than 4 or 5 adult dogs at any one time.  Some of my dogs are co-owned and live in other homes, where they can get all the attention they deserve!

I hope you enjoy your visit to my website. Please remember that the opinions expressed here are my own.

I have been a member of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America since 1986; and have been involved in the Fancy since the mid 1970's.  I am active in conformation and obedience; several of my dogs have been titled in herding and agility as well.

I am a founding member of the Garden State Cardigan Welsh Corgi club, and am very active in the Herding Group Club of New Jersey and the Allentown Dog Training Club.  I also belong to National Owner Handler Association.

I am very particular about where my puppies go, and how they live.  If you are interested in the possibility of adding one of my puppies to your family, please contact me with a full name, address and telephone number.  I do not respond to blind emails.

Thank you!
