My International Connection page!

I do believe that the Cardigans in the US are among the very best in the world.  However, there have been a number of dogs overseas and in Canada that I have admired, and feel fortunate that I have been able to add some of them to my home and my breeding program.  I am also thrilled that my puppies are making themselves known in Europe, too!

I have also made some wonderful friendships in all parts of the world, which I think is just so much fun!

Tosia's First Bath

Tosia is from the "Games" litter (Ch. Nicky x Ch. Wednesday) and has gone to live in Poland with Hanna Glowacka

Tosia Xtacee Filofany Peek-A-Boo

Tosia will bring an excellent pedigree to Hanna's breeding program, and we have high hopes for some impressive show ring successes as well!

Fergus Arrives in America

In return for Tosia, Hanna sent me a sturdy, sound tricolor boy, whom we call Fergus.  He arrived in Newark, NJ in September, after 19 hours in a crate and on a plane!

I think he was disappointed that I could not say Hello in his language- but very happy to have someone to hug him!

OH!!! Those Ears!!!

My absolute first thought when I saw Fergus in person, was that he had the BIGGEST ears I had ever seen!

Getting those ears to stand was a trial, to say the least!  Luckily, Dr Gus is an expert at making puppies happy, despite what I try to do to them!

Fergus at 4 months

There is no question that Fergus is all-boy!  I am happy with his outline, and he has developed a very unique personality!  He is a lot of fun to be with; you can see him thinking at all times- but he doesn't let too much bother him anyway!

And he sure has a sense of humor!

Fergie Liscious Xtacee Gaucho

This is one of Fergus' "official"  Identification photos for his AKC registration application.  At 6 months, he is maturing into a very nice dog, with a lot of promise for my breeding program.

He has wonderful angles front and rear, nice length of ribbing, beautiful neck and strong rear.  I love his shoulders; his upper arm is almost the same length as his scapula! (WOW!!) His coat is incredible to care for- he is truly a wash and go dog-- no fancy grooming technique for this boy!  His head is very different from what I am used to, but I have come to appreciate it.

All in all, I am very happy with Fergus.

Tosia On Her Throne

Hanna reports that Tosia is fitting right in, and has taken her rightful place in their home!

Tosia, at about 4 months, is growing into a beautiful lady

I hope to someday bring Tosia back to the US to complete her American championship too!

Fergus made himself right at home!

In typical Cardigan fashion, Fergus found the most comfie blanket and made himself at home!  He got to meet all the other Cardi's and became fast friends forever with Arrow and our Chihuahua mix, Achilles!

Fergus and Arrow discover Milk Shakes!!! Yum Yum

Fergus spent lots of time traveling with us to shows; he and his best buddy, Arrow, have had a wonderful opportunity to romp and explore together!

They think its just GREAT that their moms forgot to pick up the milk shake cup when they were done with it.....

Fergus again at 4 months

At 4 months, we have ears MOST of the time!  We also have the most beautiful bone and feet, and a lovely, correct, coarse and weather resistent coat!

Fergus at 6 months

Fergus attended his very first dog shows ever, at the tender age of 6 months and 8 days of age.  He was awarded Reserve Winners Dog to majors both days.  It was a wonderful opportunity for me to see how he would handle the crowds and the noisy building (no problems there) and finally a chance to get him on a show lead and teach him to walk and stack and bait!

The judges were very complimentary, as were most of the breeders that went over him.  Their comments reinforce my belief that Fergus is not a "pretty show dog"- but is a very sound, typey Cardigan.

Canadian Ch. Yasashiikuma Xtacee Topaz

(Am/Can Ch Merrymoon Firestorm x Can Ch Yasashiikuma Weetartan Sedalia)

Topaz came from Shelley Camm, Yasashiikuma Reg'd, in Ontario, Canada.  She completed her Canadian championship before her second birthday.

Topaz will be going to live in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York State to be a companion/physical and emotional therapist dog for my father.

We are hopeful that some time running the hills will give her the maturity she will need to complete her American championship.

I hope to add more photos and information as time goes on- check back often!
